On April 28th, Clinica Maya hosted a community health fair in partnership with UM Dermatology, Health Care District’s Mobile Health Clinic, and Community ID of the Palm Beaches. Our community health fair provided dermatology screenings and education, general health checks, reproductive wellness exams, pap smears, and community ID’s to 45 migrant families in our community.
Clinica Maya’s multi-service health fairs serve as a catalyst for our migrant families to access much needed healthcare resources in communities with limited access. In providing direct services and resources we are able to mitigate negative health outcomes for migrant families who are uninsured and poor working class. We are also able to address additional challenges in accessing and navigating the healthcare system by providing language access, transportation, food, OTC medicine, and follow-up support.
As always, thank you to our partners.
If you or a family are poor and uninsured, and are in need of healthcare access, please contact Clinica Maya: 561-817-5498.
